Star Medical Devices (SMD) is being formed in response to two initial customers who were seeking product engineering, low cost manufacturing and new market development. SMD is the combination of talent and experience from three companies; Aspiretec, LEI and PRI. The concept differs significantly from a traditional contract manufacturer in that projects will begin with design/engineering and continue through to distribution. SMD will compliment and not replace resources and capabilties of our customers.

China is expected to be the worlds’ second largest consumer economy by the year 2015. Health care is the fastest growing segement of personal spending in China. The medical device market alone exceeded $10 Billion in 2006.
